Last year I got kind of sick of my monthly TBR lists because I felt like I had no freedom. Once I'd finished a book, I felt I had to pick up the next book I'd said I would. What if I'd changed my mind? What if I had discovered something else that I was really excited about? So this year I've decided to do it a bit differently. I'm giving each month a "theme" and picking 5 books to match that theme, and leaving the rest of the month up to whatever I feel like at the time. So, in saying that, my February TBR will be focussing on finishing series' that I have been meaning to finish for ages but kept getting distracted. The five books I have chosen, in no particular order, are...

december wrap up
I read a total of 13 books in December which for me is craaazy! Thought I'd share with you what I thought of them all without going into too much detail. (click the titles for my goodreads reviews if you want to know more but just be wary that I didn't review all of them)
The first book I read was Carrie by Stephen King. I picked up a second hand copy of this months and months ago but with the new film coming out I really wanted to read it before I went. I wasn't too sure how I'd feel about it but I absolutely loved it. Carrie was such an interesting and unique character that I couldn't help but feel attached to by the end of it, even after everything that happened and everything she did. Her mother was absolutely psychotic and the girls at her school were horrible, it's really no wonder the poor girl turned out the way she did. I rated it 4 out of 5 on goodreads.
